A shout out to the blogosphere
I am one of those annoyingly skinny buggers that dieters detest. I can eat pretty much what I like and not put on weight.
Yeah, I know, feel free to throw items of office stationery at me.
I am a natural grazer and seem to balance input and energy requirements quite well. However, given that I have IBS and limited reserves, when I'm under the weather I can loose weight too easily. That's happened recently and I really need to put on about half to three quarters of a stone.
Dodges flying stapler.
I've searched the inter-webby. There are a squillion pages (really there are, you count them) about loosing weight, there are pages about bulking up for body builders, there are also pages that say helpful things like "eat more" but I've not been able to find any straight forward non-contradictory resources about foods that are still healthy but will help me gain weight.
Apart from asking for a referral to a dietician, any thoughts?

Cheese. Lots and lots of cheese. Full of calcium and protein, and high-fat. It's delicious, and you need red wine with it to stave off heart attacks. How's that for a win-win?
Yup, love cheese but I can only eat dairy in moderation cos of my IBS, heh awkward bugger, aren't I? ;o)
Hmmm... healthy but high in calories... now you've got me.
Some people find bread makes them gain weight, but I'm guessing that would play havoc with your IBS too?
Oily fish? Like kippers or Mackerel. Very good for you, but quite high in calories.
You could try adding olive oil to your salads too.
Nuts? Ooh ooh I know! Avocados! They’re actually quite high in calories. And coconut. That’s about all I can think of for now.
Right, I’m off to eat my chocolate doughnut…
I found your blog because you mention dealing with IBS. I work with a marketing agency that's working with Procter & Gamble to find influential bloggers like you to try Align, a new probiotic supplement for people suffering from digestive upsets. We’d like to send you a 2 month sample for free to find out what you think.
Email me at laurie@bridgeworldwide.com with your mailing address, and we'll send you a free two-month supply of Align – no charges for you at all. The product website is www.aligngi.com if you want to find out more about it first.
We hope to hear from you!

Just what Mr Mans Wife said really - avocados and coconut milk - both of which I love, sadly - would help.
Flapjacks any good? Ridiculously high fat them.
Ooh, coconut milk... have you tried pineapple juice with coconut? It's delicious, especially with a splash of Archers...

Not so keen on coconut but the addition of alcohol sounds a damn fine idea! Yum adore flapjacks. So this weeks shopping list will be cheese, wine, avacados and flapjack ... thanks girlies! ;o)
I too am naturally skinny with IBS and although at my 'target' weight two weeks ago it has now all dropped off again. Did you find an answer to your question which didn't involve copious amounts of alcohol?
